I’ve always been a writer.

In elementary school I wrote short stories, then used construction paper and string to make my own book bindings.

In high school, I founded a monthly literary publication featuring my own poetry and short stories as well as submissions from other students.

In college, I majored in English Literature, with minors in journalism and creative writing. I spent my junior year abroad in Paris in an intensive creative writing program.

Not only that, but I’ve been able to combine it with my other passions — health & wellness and travel.

I feel lucky to have a career that is my passion — and dare I say my "calling."

I'm a health & fitness junkie

I became a certified personal trainer in my 20s, a yoga teacher in my 30s, and a nutrition and lifestyle coach in my 40s. I continue to maintain several accredited certifications in health and fitness.

I'm lucky to have a good relationship with exercise and nutrition. I know a lot of people struggle with it, and I love to help people—friends, family, random strangers—find ways to live a healthier lifestyle.

I’ve lived in and traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, and Central America. I love learning about new cultures, having new experiences, and getting out of my comfort zone.

I've had many crazy adventures — including, most recently, a solo road trip from Atlanta to Guatemala. It was an amazing experience, however, there were also challenges along the way, and I learned that I'm stronger than I think I am!

More fun facts:

I have three dogs and a cat, all of whom I found on the street as strays (one of them on a trip to Mexico!). I wasn't planning to have this many pets, but they needed a home and I had the space, so...

I have a good sense of humor, I don't take life too seriously, and I like to make people laugh.

I'm obsessed with interior design, and I love DIY. I own a surprising amount of power tools.
